Thursday, May 14, 2026 12:33PM CDT MANHATTAN, Kan. (DTN) --- The Wheat Quality Council's 68th Annual Hard Winter Wheat Tour concluded Thursday, May 14, in Manhattan, Kansas. After three days, scouting 394 fields across the state and some into neighboring Nebraska and Oklahoma, the total weighted average yield for hard winter wheat was estimated at 38.9 bushels per acre (bpa), 26.6% decrease from 2025.

July corn is down 2 1/4 cents per bushel, July soybeans are down 11 1/4 cents, July KC wheat is down 3 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat is up 2 3/4 cents, and MIAX July Minneapolis wheat is up 0.0675 cents.
It was a crazy day for cattle futures on Wednesday. Futures climbed steadily shortly after the market opened, with live cattle leading the way. Hogs posted a similar pattern with the price rally beginning at the open and rising sharply.
